What tile repairs involves
Tiles fail for reasons that are usually fixable: an impact crack, a bed that was never fully filled, movement in the substrate, or water that has been sitting behind the tile face long enough to break the bond. What you notice is a crack, a hollow sound underfoot, or a tile that has started to lift at one edge.
Tile repair addresses those tiles specifically. We lift the affected tiles, clean back the bed, re-fix with the correct adhesive for a wet area, then regrout and seal the surrounding joints so the repair is integrated rather than obvious.

Can you replace just one tile?
Yes. Individual tile replacement is routine work, provided we can access the tile and either match it or use spares you already have.
What if I don't have spare tiles?
We'll look at how close a match is available. If nothing close exists, we'll tell you honestly and talk through the options, including relocating tiles from a concealed area.
What does a drummy tile mean?
It means the tile isn't fully bonded to the bed beneath it. Left alone, it keeps moving, cracks the grout around it and eventually lets water into the substrate.
Do you repair floor tiles as well as walls?
Yes, both. Floor tiles in a shower base need particular care because of falls to the waste and their role in shedding water.
Will the repair be noticeable?
With matching tiles, generally not. Where the match is approximate, the difference is usually most visible in colour or sheen — we set expectations before starting.
