What shower silicone replacement involves
Silicone is the flexible seal that lets a shower move without cracking. It's also the surface mould loves — warm, wet and rarely dry. Once black mould has taken hold inside the bead, no cleaner will remove it, because the growth is in the material rather than on it.
Silicone replacement is the fix. The existing bead is cut out down to clean substrate, residue is removed so nothing interferes with adhesion, the joint is treated and dried, and a new sanitary-grade anti-mould silicone is applied and tooled to a smooth profile.

Why does mould keep coming back in my silicone?
