What shower regrouting involves
Grout looks decorative but it's structural to the way a shower sheds water. Cement-based grout is rigid and porous; over years of movement, heat cycling and cleaning products it develops hairline cracks, goes powdery and starts falling out of the joints.
Regrouting means removing the failed grout to a consistent depth rather than skimming new grout over the top. The joints are cleaned out, the tile edges cleared, and fresh grout is packed in fully, tooled and cleaned back so the finish is even across the whole shower.

Do I need a full regrout or just a patch?
If the failure is confined to one area and the rest of the grout is sound, a targeted repair may be enough. Where grout is failing throughout, a full regrout gives a better and more consistent result.
Can you match my existing grout colour?
We match as closely as the available colour range allows. New grout in a fully regrouted shower will read uniformly; patch repairs can show a slight difference against aged grout.
How long does regrouting take?
A standard shower is usually a single-day job. Grout then needs curing time before water contact, so the shower is typically usable the next day.
Will regrouting fix a leaking shower?
It will if the water is escaping through failed grout. If the waterproof membrane below has failed, regrouting alone won't stop it — that's why we diagnose first.
Do you remove tiles to regrout?
No. Regrouting is done with the tiles in place. Tile removal only comes into it if tiles are loose or the waterproofing needs repair.
